| Information | The 18th season of live turf racing at Kentucky Downs will be kicked off by the 2nd Annual Southern Nights Bash - an evening of auctions - live and silent, dinner and a lot of entertainment that includes Jeffrey Steele, Jason Scheff, LoCash Cowboys and a host of other entertainers. Proceeds will benefit 6 charities.
Saturday, Sept. 11 is the Kentucky Cup Turf festival with the $150,000 Grade III Kentucky Cup turf; $50,000 Kentucky Cup Ladies Turf; $50,000 Kentucky Cup Turf Dash.
Saturday, Sept. 18 is the Family Fun Day (10:30 am - 3 pm) with the Mascot Challenge,Wiener Dog races, a jump tent and games for the kids, outdoor cookout and festival foods.
September 11, 13, 18 20 are the days for live racing at Kentucky Downs. For a fee, the adults can participate in theNTRA National Handicapping championship.
